don't worry, just stay on the positive side. be happy that you're going to meet a lot of new people! just comfort your friends and tell them that you're only moving like 10 or 20 minutes away, so you can see each other on weekends, and IM each other and talk on the phone whenever you want.
***good luck!***

I've moved many times in my life, once across country. I know you're going through a tough time & it may take awhile to adjust. There's alot about moving that causes sad emotions to erupt but some good things too. It's natural for your friends to miss you. Things will be different for them once you move. Even though you're not moving far, you'll be at a whole new school & there will be new challenges awaiting for you. I reccomend assuring your friends you'll keep in touch with them. Tell them how close you'll be & you'll come visit alot. Explain to them how much they mean to you & how they will NEVER be replaced. Suggest that you spend some quality time together like a sleepover or a spa day. Also invite them to come over once & a while when you move & talk to them on the computer & phone. Just keep the friendship going & everything will be fine. Good luck & have fun! I hope you have a great new experience at your new school & if you need any more help, feel free to drop me a question in my inbox. ♥

well it sounds like just your friends are sad about your situation. so if your okay with it thats good. you should be excited that you will meet tons of new people. try to keep your positive outlook on the situation. with your friends, its okay to be sad, but dont let them get you down.

good luck w/ the move!!- :)
