Okay, so I'm bedridden for a while. I certainly don't enjoy readering, but I figure it will pass the time.. so I'm not just stuck laying there like a useless moron. I like those cheesy little romance plots and all that sensitive bologna, so if ANYONE can think of something I might enjoy, I would DEFINITELY appreciate your recommendation!!
Julia Quinn (funny)
Connie Mason (you never quite know what you'll get accept that the writing is good. Sometimes funny, sometimes annoying, sometimes just wonderful romance. Currently reading the Outlaw trilogy. Rafe and Jess were very good, now I need Sam.)
Lisa Kleypas
Elizabeth Lowell
Liz Carlyle (she can be hillarious, but she'll throw you some tears once in a while too. Start with A Woman of Virtue, the A Deal with the Devil.)
Kat Martin - The Bride Necklace
Nicole Byrde - Beauty in Black, Vision in Blue
Cathy Maxwell - most are good
Stephanie Laurens - A Rogue's Reform (three books in one)

+ Wuthering Heights - Bronte (mystery, romance, ghosts, it has it all and doesn't feel outdated)
+ My Antonia - Cather (considered an American classic, it's a beautiful book about a Bohemian girl named Antonia and her life on the prarie. Sounds lame but is a fabulous read)
+ Bridget Jones' Diary - Fielding (quick, hilarious, modern) [ elscorcho96's advice column | Ask elscorcho96 A Question ]

OrangeChikn answered Tuesday June 7 2005, 11:17 am: Hmmm....well if you are a Christian, A Walk To Remember (by Nicholas Sparks) is a very good book. It's pretty much the only 'romantic' book I've ever read.
Edit--> Saw someone suggested Gone with the Wind and I just wanted to say that that is an amazing book, even though it's enourmous. It's by Margaret Mitchell and there is a sequel. It's called Scarlett and it's by Alexandra Ripley, and that one is amazing too!
