yea. i had the same problem. and i still kinda do but just you know, ask him questions about his personal life and stuff. maybe once he gives you a good answer, yall will have something to talk about. if that doesn't work, keep asking or start talking about yourself. just don't let any awkward silences come into your conversation.

Ughh, my gosh! Its the complete opposite with me and my crush.
Yes. Personal is good. Open up to each other.
Music is always great.
And I tend to ask a lot of questions, like 'whats been on your mind lately?' or 'what are thinking about?'
rather than 'hey whats up' or something. That just gets old. Heyyy whats up?? The cieling??? OMG ME TOO! Haaha, no.
Its kinda cute and flirty to say 'dont be shy' after asking something pretty private. Or not even. I dont know. Just have fun with it!
Do a few corny knockknock jokes. Yeah. Cliche can be cute[:

somedays you will want to talk about youe entire day, soemtimes you want to talk about a tv show or something, if you really dont do anything and summer life is a little boring then i suggest a book called how far would you go? theres like 3 or 4 versons of the book.. and it is not dirty even though the title sounds a little weird. its full of questions. deep questions mindless questions funny questions romantic questions ect. its like 10 bucks, i suggest something like that. im a pretty goofey person on the phone cause thats my bored time, so i sing and.. do weird things. not every conversation or call has to be deep and meaningful either. if you dont have tons of stuff to say yourself ask him about the tv show hes watching or the movie or video games or sports or his weekend and make HIM talk, he cant get mad if hes the one blabing! if all else fails just tell him you gotta go, and talk to him later or the next day when you really have things to say.

It takes time to get to know each other so you feel comfortable about telling each other more private thoughts. That's normal. You can talk about music (bands, artists, etc.) and what your favorite movies are. There is also the Summer Olympics coming up and you could try watching a little on TV and discuss that with him. There are also things going on in the world all around you so pick a subject. Listen to him! Find out what he enjoys and talk about them. Guys usually aren't into useless gossip that girlfriends talk about so I wouldn't even go there.

You're probably nervous because he's your boyfriend. If that's the case, just try not to let that distract you. Talk about things you would talk about with your friends [aside from gossip]. Talk about your day or really anything. Don't be afraid to be random.

Hi!!!
haha don't worry at all i used to have the same problem, and in about a month and like a week we will have been together for a year... so yeah sometimes you get in a rut hehe.. but no worries what we do now is that when we go out or spend time together we talk about what we liked... ex: "hey, i liked it when you did this or that" it sounds boring but believe me you will end up talking about some interesting things... haha cause I know all about that akward silence...
anyways if this doesn't work then talk about stuff he likes, or talk about something stupid, later on you will end up talking about some pretty interesting things ...
anyways if you need anything else inbox please
take care
toodles
Aly~

That's a conversation topic on its own.

"Why do you get mad when I never have anything to talk about?" and "I get scared when I talk with you on the phone now"

That'll get a conversation starting.

cheers,
stargirl
