CrzyLatinaChc answered Sunday June 5 2005, 11:33 pm: Okay... it normally last for about a week then you wait another 28 days and it starts back up. Yours will proly be a lil wierd b/c u just had your first one, (it normally takes 3-4 months for it to be regular) hope this helps.
ShYbl0nD3 answered Sunday June 5 2005, 11:03 pm: well you get it once a month for about a week. Since its ur first your cycle will be a little irregular for about a year or so. I would keep track on a calender so you can see about when your period should be comming the next time. But that will take about 3 months the get.

chocolate_lover answered Sunday June 5 2005, 9:51 pm: you mave to buy a calander, and mark the days and times you have it. at the begining, it could happen anytime, but after a tear you will see a patern, so u are prepared.
it is better to use pads in the beggining. because you have to change tampons a few times a day. on the other hand, you can swim in tampons.
it runs for about a month, and it depends on you for how many times a year. sporty girls dont get it that many times a year. always carry extra tampons/pads.
-hope i helped

i actually dont live with any males in my family but
when my moms bfs comes over i feel so uncomfortable
so i know how you feel if you live with one
Well your period is like a week tops. Sometimes it could be longer since you just got it.
Also use pads. I use always. Its the best out there.
But hey does your father have any gfs? friends? that are girls? if yes why dont you ask them to go to the store with you to get some pads . . and just give you a talk. If not then be sure to comment me anytime with any questions! adOrablexOmaShka
JamesBaybiGurl answered Sunday June 5 2005, 9:49 pm: Just if you would tell like someone who is close to your father if your that scared and then they will tell your father, Its better to tell a girl but, considering its your first period ever then you should talk to your dad but if he is the type that you might think will have a hard time understanding tell an aunt or someone close in your family thats a female cause they can help you alot! Best of luck! Hope I helped! Bye Hun!
Teza answered Sunday June 5 2005, 9:48 pm: It really depends. Your first time it could last for about 2-5 days. Hes your dad so just ask him to take you to the store to get you pads or tampons. You might get cramps which is normal so get Midol. You can also put something warm on your stomach which always helps cramps and if you drink milk. ♥ [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
