Cheating

Question Posted Thursday May 26 2005, 7:56 pm

I have a friend, who I know her boyfriend of 6 months is cheating on her. I went ahead and told her...now I need to know what to tell her from here...I want to be there for her, but I don't know anything to help cheer her up? (Please keep in mind that I'm only in high school, so I'm limited)

it's really sweet that you want to be there for her and everything, but there's really nothing you can do about it. this is something that she needs to work out with her boyfriend. you can be there for her and comfort her, but there's not really anything else you can do for her. maybe things will work out between them, and they'll get through it all, but if they break up, then she'll find someone even better for her that doesn't cheat on her, so she'll get over it. hope things work out for her and her boyfriend!

Take it from someone who has been cheated on before...honestly, there is really nothing you can do. This is something that your friend and her boyfriend have to work out on their own. You can be there for her and comfort her, because, of course shes hurt. But really, all she needs is to clear things with her boyfriend. They may break up, but those things happen. And if they're strong enough they can get through it like me and my boyfriend did.

:) I wish your friend luck.

sometimes just being there is enough. invite her over for a sleep over or something, buy some chocolate ice cream and watch some chick flicks (or any other movie you too like) i would think a comedy works better for cheering up.

your her friend, you know what she needs most. maybe you just let her rant over the phone a couple of times.

good luck,

Well I am sure that she is hurt. YOu can tell her that she doesn't deserve to be treated that way, and that she didn't do anything to bring it on. I learned the hard way myself. I has nothing to do with the girl that they are with. She can be beautiful, smart, and even good in bed, and having sex with her too, and they still cheat. It is a problem with the guy. Hey you know who Halle Berry is right. Beautiful, smart, rich. Her husband cheated on her! Can you imagine. Says he had a sexual addiction. She stayed with him through therapy so he could get better, then she dumped his sorry a*ss. Then he has the nerve to turn around and sue her for alimony. Some men. You can tell your girl friend, and remember this yourself. There are some lousy men/boys out there, real creeps. But they are always on their best behavior in the beginning. Take the time to get to know someone better. And don't let the one that are rotten get away with it. He just goes on to the next girl and she accepts him as he is. He never changes. Guys won't change their bad behavior until women turn their backs on them and refuse to put up with it.
I hope this helps It is really nice of you to want to be there for your friend.

Michele

Let her figure it out herself. If she was smart, she'd superglue his balls to the ground when he was sleeping so when he woke up. HE'D RIP HIS BALLS OFF!
