NEOSPORIN! I love that stuff. It works so good on scars, and the new neosporin scar patches could work really good too. You're not guaranteed that there will be absolutly no scar there at all, but it will be a very very faint scar.

my dad had to get scerws in his back . and he barely has any stiches. he kept the stiched back clean with that peroxide and kept it coverd. let it breath about 2 hours every day form the bandage.

make sure you keep the area clean so it wont get infected and keep neosporian (sp) on it...that helps reduce the appearence of scars...

Well, 5 inches isn't that bad of a scar and at least its on your back and not in a more noticeable place. You can try using a few things. Cocoa Butter, Neosporin, and my favorite and what I have found to be the most effective for my type of skin is Mederma. All the above mentioned options are over the counter and available at your local drug store. Mederma is the most costly. It is about 16 or so dollrs but it is very woth it. it takes scars away. Good luck, and don't worry! :)

well you can put creme on it or wait 7 years. If the scar is deep it will take longer because your skin streches every 7 years. Hope I helped

well assuming normal stiching techniques, you cant. neosporin will minimize the scar, and scratching will make it more noticeable. 5 stitches really isnt all that much, and besides guys dig scars.
