Use a new razor. And shave at all angles. Up, down, then to the side, and diagonally if you have to. Use a new razor and a good shaving cream.

okayy well im all for the *venus razor. you might want to give that a try. Also__ make sure you shave in the shower where water is constantly hitting your skin therefore its easier to remove the hair. To decrease the redness ask your doctor. I got special cream and literally went away within two days. However i did dispose the cream now since i no longer have the problem; so i can't give you the name of it. hope i helped :-D

Shave your armpits in the shower. Make sure your shower is comfortably warm, and shave about 3 minutes after you've been in the shower. This will soften the hair, and keep your pores wider open, leaving less of the hair behind. Also, ise a cream, lathery soap, or gel, and shave with a light touch and a fresh, sharp razor.

Karen answered Sunday May 22 2005, 9:14 am:
Those black dots are the hairs that you couldn't get rid of and that you didn't shave enough. Do you use shaving cream or a gel when you shave with water? Because if you don't and if you dry shave, this will cause the redness. Try using a new, good razor like Venus and that will get rid of all the hair.

You probably don't use enough soap or foam when you shave. And perhaps you need to change the razor blade as it might not be sharp enough

It's sounds like it's just RazoR buRn. It would pRobably be a good idea foR you to expeRiment with diffeRent types of shaving cReam. I Recommend tRying Skintimate shaving gel. And as foR RazoRs... I peRsonally have been using BIC lately, and I neveR have any soRt of iRRitation whatsoeveR. Of couRse, it could be completely diffeRent with you, so ya neveR know. Just tRy new things eveRy once in a while. And always make shoRe to shave in the showeR when plenty of wateR is available, and neveR eveR dRy shave. Also, it's always best to shave in the diRection of the haiR's gRowth, and geneRally this is downwaRds. AfteR you feel you've shaved eveRything all away, I say give it one swipe upwaRds, just to go in foR a full clean, and things should be good. Hopefully this has been of SOME help to you!! =D

I just read this in an article in the reccent Seventeen magazine. The black dots are stubby hairs, and the only reason they're still there, is because your razor head is either: dull, or very old. The red'ness is caused by irratation, so try using shaving cream, and don't shave vigarously, but at one stroke at a time.

well if there are black dots that means you didnt completly shave off the tips of the hairs. you may want to switch razor blades..and when you do shave your arm pits go in all diffrent directions. the hair grows in all diffrent directions so shave that way! :) its the only way to get rid of it. and as for the redness, get deodrant with lotion. it will help with this. :)
