Question Posted Thursday May 19 2005, 2:02 pm

I dance everyday for two and a half hours and seeing as I'm so used to the routine I don't get tired that quickly.
I was sick last week and had to take a week off dancing and I did my dancing today but after an hour I was really hot and bothered, tired and had a headache.
Is it because of my week off or something else?
and if it's because of my week off is there anyway I can get back into my routine?

well it could be because of ur week off, but it could also be because you were sick and being sick def. slows you down and makes you tired. maybe your still sick. try going back to your doctor, hope ive helped!

I think the reason you get tired is because you are sick. You will be in your regular routine when you feel better! By they way get well soon! ♥

It could be that you are still tired from when you were sick, and that you took a week off. You can get back into your routine, just do more and more dancing each week(like one time you can do 1 hour of dancing and when you get used to that add like 30 more min. or as much as you can do)and you'll get back to your routine. When you get tired and/or hot just drink cold water.

Hope I helped!

I am going through the same thing you are. I was sick a while ago and I used to swim every week and I couldn't because I ran out of breath really quickly. So I tried some of these and you should too:

1.) if you get hot, drink some water and take a break for a little while.
2.) if you get bothered, take a break and drink some more water
3.) if you get tired, do the same thing, take a break and drink some water.
4.) if you get a headache, just stop for about an hour or half-an-hour.

It IS because of your week off because if you do something and you suddenly stop, your body will get used to not doing it and when you start doing it again, it takes a while to get used to. so keep dancing daily or whatever your routine was and sooner or later, your body will be back to the way it was. *hope i helped* I will happily answer any of your questions you may have. I will reply. Keep those tips in mind.

ok first of all its not because you took a week off that you are tired. It's because you were sick. Chances are if you had to take a week off because you were sick then your sickness isn't completely gone yet. When the symptoms of a sickness are gone the cold isn't nessisarily gone too. Just work at it for a while and in about 2-3weeks you'll be just like before. Also if your takeing any medicines, that might be the problem. Some medicines will make you tired and others will slow your reaction time. When I do sports I usually wont take any type of medicine before so my reaction times are up to speed, but some medicines are ok and its you choice (remember medicines have different effects on different people.)
