My male friend (he has a girlfriend, i dont date) and i were really close for quite some time and then he told me that he liked me (for some time now) and then a few weeks later that he loved his girlfriend, the entire situation was aweful and i tried to stay away from it best i could, but now we arent as colse...actually now we are more of aquaintences than friends and im starting to doubt what our friendship was. what do i do? how do i know we werent just close because he like me?
Bob_the_Sword_Test_Dummy answered Tuesday May 17 2005, 9:20 pm: He said he "LIKED" you. And he said he "LOVES" his girlfriend. Now like and love are two totally different meanings. Why don't you still be close to him as just a friend and forget this whole thing. Maybe he LIKES you as a really good friend. But LOVES his girlfriend like well a girlfriend. Don't over analyze things so much. [ Bob_the_Sword_Test_Dummy's advice column | Ask Bob_the_Sword_Test_Dummy A Question ]
xox_cutebrunette answered Tuesday May 17 2005, 8:43 pm: hey well i think that he might be feeling wierd because he likes you and i dont think that he was jsut friends with you because he wanted to get into your pants! guys are wierd they get their moments just like us gurls wen we are on our periods! lol! but the best thing to do it just talk to him and let him know that your there for him and that you still want to be friends! well hope it works out
ComatoseNOtiose answered Tuesday May 17 2005, 7:44 pm: Maybe he feels awkward about liking you. You should talk to him, on the phone if possible. Tell him you'd still like to be friends and maybe you'd like to do something as friends (but that you don't have romantic feelings for him). Say you're willing to start over.
