If you are young and still growing, you need more sleep. Young people naturally have a fast metabolism. It is more efficient that adults. You metabolism rate is how fast your body uses up the calories in the food you eat. The only thing that speeds up your metabolism is exercist. More lean muscle than fat on your body will give you a higher metabolism. If you are overweight, you have to get more exercis to speed up your metablism, build muscle and burn fat.

gakkuhideto answered Saturday May 14 2005, 8:53 pm: It is definately healthier to go to bed early and wake up early. However, teenagers are a bit messed up. We are nearly nocturnal and most of us don't get tired until after midnight. [ gakkuhideto's advice column | Ask gakkuhideto A Question ]
