To anyone who says "My dog has seizures every now and then, but he's still happy" Or "My vet gave me this medicine to give my dog, but I decided I was smarter and would simply stop giving him the medicine"

Please, Please do not listen to those people.

You should call your vet back up and tell them about every possible poison that your dog could have gotten into. Until then, give your dog spring water instead of tap water or the well water. If there are chemicals in the water, then that's very likely.

It could be a mixture of the flea medicine and the bee chemicals, or one of the two. A lot of flea medicines can be way to harsh for dogs. I believe Harts is the one that I would NEVER recommend to anyone. I've seen and heard stories of it doing some pretty nasty things to poor little dogs and puppies.

Anyway, Go back to the Vet, or at least call (free advice if you call) and tell them about every single chemical your dog could have gotten into.

If thats what the vet says then it is probably good to try it. Could be the bee man too. I have a dog who has seizures. Its pretty scary but it won't kill her. They did give him seizure medicine but it gave him a bad attitude so I don't give it to him. He does okay, just has a seizure now and then. So, whatever the case she will probably do okay. :)

Yes, you need to tell your vet all the chemicals she's been exposed to. If you are lucky she may get better, but prolonged exposure to some chemicals can cause permenant nerve damage. Only your vet can really help you with this. I wish I could tell you something better. If it's just the meds, the problem should correct itself with little trouble. Good luck!

If taking her off the flea and tick medicine helped then that is good. But if your mom is still worried about fleas and ticks. She can add, brewer's yeast to her food, and it will also keep the fleas and ticks away. naturally. With no side effects. You can get it at any health food store. It is very high in b vitamins. I had a dog, that got skin conditions from the flea collars. I used this in his food, and he never got fleas.
