I'm a senior and my motivation for school is absolutely gone. I want school to end so I can get out, run to never land and not come back for ever and ever. No, but anyway, my grades are dropping...and dropping fast. Specially my English AP grade. At the beginning of the year I had an A and now it's barely a C. Last six weeks I got a F. I need to bring my grade up to a B so I can pass the stupid class and I have 3 weeks to do it. I know I can but there's nothing there. I'm so fed up with school that sometimes I just don't give a shit. Any ideas?

(which is like your situation, only for college) we had a test coming up, and i studied hard for it (havent got grades back yet.) anyway, since i thought about that, ive been trying harder. just think of all the reasons you should stay focused, and do your best! before you know it, school will be out, and summer will take all of your worries away!♥
AdvicenateKate answered Thursday May 5 2005, 8:12 pm: Just remeber-the better you do in school (meaning the harder you try) leads to a better life-more money, more free time, etc. Just remind yourself-you have spent so much time in school your whole life, what is a couple more weeks? Try your hardest and make sure you do your best. Study!!! Don't neglect studying, even if you feel no need to. Hope I helped! [ AdvicenateKate's advice column | Ask AdvicenateKate A Question ]

Do you want to extend the torture of school even more and have to take summer school? Just buckle down and do the work right when you get home. Get it out of the way and remember that it's almost over and you'll never have to do another AP English assignment once the school year ends! klyova90 answered Thursday May 5 2005, 7:42 pm: Motivation could really be a problem if you have nothing to look forward in school. My advice, get your grades up quick, even though school's a bitch, when the year is over you'll be so glad that you brought it up. Think about it, you've been going through school your entire life with good grades, dont let them drop now. If you need something to look forward to, look forward to a career. If you don't have a particular career in mind, try looking online for courses that different colleges offer, that might help you get something. Perhaps you want to be a computer game designer, or maybe a stock broker, or even an auto mechanic. Whatever it is in life that you love, go for it. Also think about the consequences of not finishing school off good. You've seen homeless people on the streets, do you really want to be one? Or do you really want to be one of the mindless idiots who at 40 years old still work in some dead-end job (like McDonalds or something) that barely get by on their minimum-wage paycheck? You know what they're always thinking about? They're always thinking about how if they could do it all over again, they would have passed school, gone to college, get a career, and get a real, exciting, happy life. Think about it. I really hope I helped. Good luck in life. [ klyova90's advice column | Ask klyova90 A Question ]
