Aniexty is hell

I have really bad panic attacks and they seem to be controling me. I am running out of ideas on what to do. I have had aniexty since I was 4 years old. I am 15 now. I just need to get my life back in order. I am just not sure how. If anyone has panic attacks, can you give me ideas to get over them?

I also I many mental issues. Like angoraphobia, O.C.D, Panic disorder, Aniexty, and alot of others. I have been to two mental hospitals and 50 or more doctors and consualors.. I am losing all hope on myself.

hi, i have panic attacks too when i have to go out so this is a good idea for you to try, i really helps me. When i go out i usually take a "comfort bag" with me (it stays in the car if were in town), this can just be included in you normal school bag or take a bag to town, just a normal bag (not a carrier bag).
This comfort bag isnt for you to rely on so make sure you dont depend on it, in this bag you can take things you might need just incase you feel a panic attack coming on.
So deffinatly take a drink or two of water or juice (or both), a magazine to read or puzzle book (with a pen) just so you have something to do to keep your mind off how you are feeling and to calm you down, if i am going to the hospital or doctors i take a hot water bottle (wrapped in a towel) in my comfort bag because when i panic it gives me stomach ache so i cen feel the heat through the bag and just sit with the bag on my knee. dont use a hot water bottle too much though otherwise you'll end up with nasty burns.

i cant help too much because i dont know what these panic attacks are stopping you from doing, but if you get scared to go out alone or even with friends or in public places then it sounds like you either have or are developing agoraphobia. if this is the case then i'd really like to chat to you properly on msn or email because i can help you more that way.
Also, like you i have O.C.D's, panic and anxiety so i'd really like to help you before it gets too bad and you get housebound.

I take it you would have tried all the therapy such as CBT and others. What about hypnotherapy? I personally don't think a lot of it but some people really swear that it works and some of the ideas seem sound. It may help- anything is worth a go right?

Panic attacks...

It may help to be in a private space away from people. Maybe with a friend to hold your hand and talk to you if you want that.

A paper bag to breathe in a bit may help to steady your breath. Breathe in through your mouth and out through your nose.

Try counting- I never tried this personally but it just struck me as an idea.

Focussing on afterwards- something you are doing, however dull or boring as it makes you think that there is more than just this panic.

You've got to just try to tell yourself that you are okay, I guess. I don't know- anxiety attacks are horrid. You could try Bach's Rescue Remedy- it may help a little?

Sipping water when you can may also help.

What about other medications? If you can't be perscribed Snt John's Wart is sometimes used for anxiety or even more simple may be Omega 3 tablets.

I really feel for you. I hope things get better and this helped some. xxxx

I have panic attacks too!!! and i honestly havnt thought that anybody else has had them... i started getting them like a couple months ago. but they terrify me like im scared to go and do stuff with people bc i feel like its taking over me!! i know how scary it is! but i had to go get some sorta shot im not sure what it is called but its really helped me to calm down ( for a littele bit-- i think it does somethin to your nerves or sumthin--maybe-- but im not really sure i just know that it helped ALOT!!). ----and then when you have a panic attack you have to use your pressure points or something my doctor told me! like put pressure in the middle of your rib cage while breathing in and out for like 2 mins and it helps you to breathe-- umm i dont knw what else to tell you bc im guessin yours are far more severe than mine!! hope i helped a little bit!!

NEVER LOSE HOPE. i am only 13 but i have been threw some stuff to but not like that i lost my ant resently my fish died my bff moved to oklahoma my grandpa is sick and could die and now my dad is really sick and might have to be in the hospital and who knows what els. but what ever happens you can not give up. if i did not answer your qiestion right please tell me like exactly what you are asking. thanks bye

i was at camp ( swim camp and like i got so upset cus it was so crazy at night in the dorms like i could not controle anything like it was hectic and stuff nthing nasty and i just went in to a panic attac and the only way u get out of them is just to slow down stop don't think but ask for a wet paper town rub it on your forhead and sit and breath deep breaths that is what i did. hope i help.
