FunnyCide answered Friday April 22 2005, 10:12 am: Yep. You've found a vein. If you're putting your hand on your stomach at the bottom of your ribcage, you're feelng the echo (vibrations) of your heart. But if you're putting your hand lower, and towards one of the sides, you're feeling a vein. It's not an artery though, because they don't pulsate the same way veins do. When I put my hand on my stomach, near the bottom of my sternum, I feel my heart, sometimes I can feel it lower than that, and I feel it when I'm touching a vein. You're perfectly normal! (what an absurd thought! Lol)
