LBel26 answered Saturday April 23 2005, 3:13 pm: It helps alot to take advil or something just before the appointment. They still get sore, but not as much. [ LBel26's advice column | Ask LBel26 A Question ]

sunshine805 answered Wednesday April 20 2005, 11:03 pm: Try taking Tylenol or Motrin or something. When I get my braces tightened, I just try to focus my attention on something else really important, so I don't notice how much my mouth is hurting.
Hope I helped!

OrangeChikn answered Wednesday April 20 2005, 10:08 pm: Unfortunately, the pain hurts. I've had braces too. If medicine isn't working there not much else you can do. But I suggest eating soup, if you are hungry. Soups are the only thing I could eat after having my braces changed, even sandwiches hurt. It normally can stay that way for a day or two.
ShYbl0nD3 answered Wednesday April 20 2005, 9:58 pm: i had braces and they never really hurt that bad when i got them changed. they shouldnt be hurting that bad.. unless they did somthing wrong or u broke a braket, so maybe go in for a quick check up. See what's wrong. Take some advil or anything else that might have helped. Don't eat hard food because that will make the pain worse.
hope the pain goes away :)
