I don't know what's wrong with me. All my life I NEVER shed any of hair on my head. Hardly any hairs were left in my combs and brushes. Now all the sudden my hair has been falling out. Not just pieces of damaged hair, I'm talking the ROOT and everything. there was tons of hairs on my school uniform today and all my friends had to pick them off. If I run my fingers thru my hair there's a whole bunch of full hairs in my hand. This is not normal, what could be wrong? (there's no change in my diet)
xObEaChbAbEoX answered Wednesday April 20 2005, 12:19 pm: if u use conditioner on your hair it makes your hair fall out also if you straighten it alot your hair comes out so i dont think you should use conditioner for a while or straighten/curl your hair if you do
i hope everything turns out okay

luv2swim109 answered Tuesday April 19 2005, 5:48 pm: umm i think it might just mean you are not eating enough protein. the same thing happened to my friend. try kepping to a strict diet eating foods high in protein. mostly try and eat meats. if it is still happening try going to a hair stylist and see what is the matter.
piggy100 answered Tuesday April 19 2005, 5:44 pm: hi the same thing happened to me about a year ago.so i know how you feel.it might be that you had split ends and you never got your hair trimmed and it damaged your whole head.if its not that then i dont know what it is. you know somtimes theres a million reasons for stuff like this to happen. go to a hair dresser and see if they can do anything about it. in the mean time dont comb and brush your hair all the time. oh yeah if its because of split ends get a treatment for your hair. but if the treatment dont work get ready to wear some wigs for a while. Brittany13 answered Tuesday April 19 2005, 5:41 pm: My hair has been like that all my life. My mom's hair is the same way, maybe your mom, dad or even your grandparents hair is or was like that. It's probably like a haritage thing I wouldnt worry if I were you but if you start getting bald spots on your head I think you should go see a doctor. But you probably wont have to [ Brittany13's advice column | Ask Brittany13 A Question ]
cUrLyHaiReDcUtiE16 answered Tuesday April 19 2005, 5:37 pm: you said there is no change in your diet but still it could be annarexia or another thing that it could be is the use of certain drugs (im not saying that you use drugs) other then that im not sure there is anything else that it could be except maybe you have died or highlighted your hair too much if you even dir oe highlight it
mysticpixie05 answered Tuesday April 19 2005, 5:20 pm: doesnt involve your diet at all. so who ever is saying that is full of crap. it means your hair is damaged. if you colored it recently or put any chemicals on it, then it is falling out because of that. if you havent had anything done to your hair recently then it could be medications. if you are on any medications, then it could result in this. but hey... there isnt enough information here for me to tell ya what it really could be. so if you have anything else about this, let me know. ill be glad to help and if i dont know the answer to it, then when i go to my cosmetology class again tomorrow, i will find out for you. jbdreamer answered Tuesday April 19 2005, 5:09 pm: The average person looses 100 hairs a day. It is just more noticable with people with long hair. Try brushing your hair throughout the day to catch those loose strands. [ jbdreamer's advice column | Ask jbdreamer A Question ]
MummuM answered Tuesday April 19 2005, 5:06 pm: I shed a lot of hair also, but not as much as you said you did. It could be different for you because of the lenght/type of your hair. You could go to the hair dresser. Maybe they have some kind of product out that may help you with this problem.

Shay answered Tuesday April 19 2005, 4:55 pm: If I were you, I would ask a parent about it ASAP or go see a doctor and ask. It might not be serious, but when I heard your question, it made me think of cancer. That really sounds like it...there was someone i know that had cancer and all of his hair gradually started to fall out....so you should probably take it seriously. Hope i helped! You can ask me stuff anytime. Please rate!
