It's my new roommates birthday tomorrow. She's going to turn 23, and she's been living with us for the past 2 months. She rents out a room in our house and goes to school in San Francisco. My mother, her and I have become really close and it feels like she's just like a sister to me now. We are going out to dinner tomorrow for her birthday because she has no family that lives around here. I have no idea what an appropriate gift could be to get her. I was thinking maybe I could make her a simple card or something. Any ideas? Thanks!

It will be a nice way to show her that she is really a part of your family and a good way for her to remember the good times you guys have together.
