Actually, I got my last flat iron at Meijers, it works wonders. Just try to look for a beauty supply place in your area, search on the internet or ask around at school or with some friends.

mysticpixie05 answered Friday April 15 2005, 4:41 pm: i wouldnt reccomend a flat iron to use. they fry your hair out real bad. but umm instead of paying like alot of money on one you can go to sallys and get them, depending on the kind you get they can be a bit pricy. but if you want to get a good one and stay on the cheaper side go with a revlon. get a ceramic one, usually gold plates are alot beter than silver also. but def go with a gold plated ceramic hot iron. they work the best. Karen answered Friday April 15 2005, 3:13 pm: I live in Massachusetts also and I got my flat iron at Sally's Beauty Supply and I know there are many Sally's in Massachusetts and other states. Instead of paying hundreds of dollars, you can get one at this store for around $100 that hasn't been used. Here's Sally's website: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location).
