Prom is like any other school dance. You sit down at your table for a while and eat or w/e and then you can just dance and have a great time. Then there's a time where you have to be quiet so they can announce the new prom king and queen. and that's basically it.

It's different for every school. But it's usually along the same lines. When you go to the prom, there's usually a picture section when you first go in. You mostly just dance and eat. There's also a part of the prom, where the grad's usually dance with their mother or father. The grand march is walking down the hallway (or whatever they have set up), with your date.

Prom is all about taking pictures in the begining, hanging out with your friends infront of the limo if you are taking one. Dancing, having a good time, take a limo ride around town or the city with your friends. After party then there is the prom king and queen which I never paid much attention to myself :)

Different schools have different traditions... at our prom, we mostly stood around, ate food, and pretended to dance. My at-the-time girlfriend and I spent about a thrid of the night talking to the DJ.

Some schools have a prom king and queen... others don't. Some schools have an official after-prom, some don't.

It all depends on what your school's traditions are.
