luckycharmsgirl answered Thursday April 14 2005, 3:53 pm: The thing with moles is, it only gives you a predisposition for skin cancer, so it wont really make a difference if you get it removed(a mole is just excess amts of melanin[sp?] formed under the skin). If the mole really bother you get it removed, tell your mom its buggin you and im sure shed b eager to help. not to be negative, but i hear it oes hurt, so keep that in mind too... Good luck [ luckycharmsgirl's advice column | Ask luckycharmsgirl A Question ]

If your family does have a history of skin cancer/moles then you need to get it checked out right away, that way if it is anything, you can treat it right away. As for your mum, you can say to her "Mum, you know this thing on my cheek, do you reckon its anything to do with skin cancer?" If she says no, you can still insist you want to get it checked out just in case. And if it isn't anything to be worried about, then moles can be really attractive and it sounds like yours is! Besides you can always cover it up with concealer if you REALLY hate it! [ Aunty_Zozie's advice column | Ask Aunty_Zozie A Question ]

vchicka15 answered Monday April 11 2005, 9:29 pm: i think you should keep it.. alot of celeberites have them, they add detail to your face.. people even draw moles on to look pretty.. i have a few and im sure most people have atleast 1 mole on their body.. theres really no point in getting it removed unless its going to cause cancer.. so you should probably ask about that [ vchicka15's advice column | Ask vchicka15 A Question ]
Mercy_x_Me answered Monday April 11 2005, 8:38 pm: DEFINETLY... if you have a history talk to your mom. See a doctor, check it out. It may be nothing but if it's the difference between life and death who cares about beauty? [ Mercy_x_Me's advice column | Ask Mercy_x_Me A Question ]
vermillion26 answered Monday April 11 2005, 7:49 pm: well, the mole probably IS pretty. everyone has something they're insecure about, with you i guess its your mole. unless its giving you seirous self-esteem issues then i'd say leave it. its part of who you are and its probably not as bad as you think.
CaitlinCrane answered Monday April 11 2005, 5:43 pm: my sister has that problem too...if i were u id most likely leave it..the way i see it...its kinda like really skinny grls thinking that theyre fat...like..the actual girl thinks theyre really fat and have fat excess fat everywhere on their body..but yet nobody else sees it..so like..just because YOU see it all the time...and it bothers YOU doesnt mean that other ppl dont like it...like on my sister, everyone lovess it...but on her she doesnt
just_ask_me answered Monday April 11 2005, 5:40 pm: I would go to a dermotologist (skin doctor) Ask him what he thinks about it, and if it could be connected with skin cancer. Your mom will probably let you see the dermo and if it bothers you that much, the doctor can cut it out. Don't worry, they numb it & it doesnt hurt at all. If everyone thinks its pretty, try to see their point of view. Once you get it removed, you cant get it back though! xo
LoViny0ux914 answered Monday April 11 2005, 5:32 pm: you kinda put two problems into one question so im not sure what youre asking...about getting it removed, if it bothers you on a daily basis to the point where it makes you self concious, then yes get it removed. if its just like "o man i dont liek it" every now and then, then id just leave it alone. if youre asking if it could be skin cancer...thats something to ask your doctor! hope this helps! xxo [ LoViny0ux914's advice column | Ask LoViny0ux914 A Question ]
