Well i used to dance when i was 4-7 but then i quit because of the teacher who used to pick on me. I REALLY wanna' dance, i might become a perfessional dancer if i will make it.. But i think its too late to start dancing? What is the best group to start if i start now and want to be a hip-hop dancer? Do i start hip-hop straight away or ballet or what? I'm so cunfussed plus mum thinks its a 5 minute thing for me.. she is like "No your go for 5 minutes and want to quit!" just because i done that will girl scouts, art club and other clubs but i know i want this.. I want it bad but she dont believe me! How can i make her believe me that i want it!!
Please answer my 2 or 3 questions i rate ***** 5 *****

first of all, how old are you? your never too old to dance! i would start up ballet as soon as possible because believe me, ballet is the hardest type of dance to go professional in. then i would start hip-hop. most "pro" hip hop dancers are in music videos and on dance teams. and ways to get ur mom to let you, well show her that you have a passion for dancing and its not some 5 minute deal this time. maybe ask her to let you take a class at a studio, and have her watch. or just explain to her how youre feeling. i wish you the best of luck, and i hope i have helped!

First of all, you dont just make someone beleive something that you want them to, you have to prove it to them, shown them that you can dance, make them want you to join.prove her wrong, and dance at home every single moment you can, and say that you wont stop dancing untill she lets you join a team.like for example, i wanted a horse badly when i ws 12, and my dad and mom wouldnt let me get one because it was to expensive and they thought it was gonna be one of those 2 hour things and then ill want to quit.but i really wanted this horse, so i kept on buying horse books, toys, magazines and every thing else that i could find that was horse related, and saved up enough money (i made the merchandise noticable to my parents to show how determined i was to get a horse, but I kept the money saving a secret)to be able to buy a horse and the eed and tack and every thing else needed t take care of a horse, and my parents finnally gave into the horse thing and bought me my own horse.by the way, i still have that same horse and i continue to take care and expand my love of horses.it worked for me, so it could work for you as well.thanks for listening.

Hiya,

Having never taken dance I don't know what it would be best to do first- however you can phone up a dance agency/ class teacher and enquire. I'm sure they would be able to give you a good answer. I feel that if you want to be a hip hop dancer then it may be an idea to start with that.

You can learn dancing at any age. The age at which dancing can make your joins more flexible is the age at which you've already done it, which is an advantage. It is never too late to start, though.

About your Mum- can you catch her when she's in a good mood? Maybe make her a coffee or tea and sit down with her and just try to explain. Tell her that if you don't keep it up for six months that you will pay her back the cost of the classes? You could offer to pay a bit yourself if it would persuade her?

You could mention the other classes and say that you didn't feel this way about those. If talking to her doesn't work you could write her a letter.

If the worst comes to the worst maybe you could ask for a dance club to be started at school if you can get enough people?

Best of luck xxx

It's never too late to start to dance, especially if you had experience already. It depends on what kind of dance you're especially attracted to. What you're interested in, that is. Or, if you like every single form of dance, you might want to pick one that you're already familiar with.. ^__^

Or, you can incorporate dance with your other hobbies or interests.. For example, you like martial arts, there's a kind that's like dance martial arts *Capuera, or something.. Sorry, I forgot the spelling.. ^__^;*

If you want hip-hop, you can check it out first and see if it really is your style and maybe try it out a few times.. Or, if you feel a bit uncomfortable with hip hop right away, you can restart on your previous dance lessons..

There are some teachers that believe some combinations don't mix. I used to do ballet, then I did Jazz and Fad, but they usually discouraged it for some reason.. SO maybe you can try to search the net or something.. ^__^

You can try to prove your mom wrong by committing to more responsiblities or just doing little things to prove that you are getting more responsible... The little count, coz they add up to something much bigger..

Much luck and continue your passion.. It's a really nice one.. *I speak from experience.. ^_^*
