i have this problem too and have had for over two years. there are lots of different things that can calm you. lavander oil is known for its claming qualities, a smale amount on your pillow should od the trick. there are a number of herbal tablets that can be taken to avoid a doctors prescription, as i found that these pills can often make you feel quite fuzzy headed. the other thing is to stay up until u feel tired but in that time relax your mind ull find u will often just fall asleep either because you have relaxed or just because you are so tired, i do it quite often when i feel relaxed. its probably just a phase but everyone is different. i hope this has helped u! ]
Run 5 miles in the daytime. You'll sleep great at night. ]
I am the same way.. It is called sleep apnea... all you need to do is go to your doctor and make sure there is nothing wrong with you.. tell him your problem and he will put you on medicine that will make you sleep I am on seroquel and it works great well good luck!! ]
Sometimes, its hard to get to sleep at night because you have something troubling you emotionally or inside your guilty. Or physically it could be that you can be too tired to sleep. This sounds impossible but it can be true. Watch your diet. Are you drinking or eating alot of sugar when you go to bed? Do something relaxing before you go to sleep. ]
Im a night owl too. I tend to hate the morning and love the night. I suggest watching tv. Try to stay awake as long as you can. I find i go to sleep faster. Also, stay up till 3 or after on weekends. I do it all the time. Its quite fun, no one bothers you. ]
One thing to do would be to exercise during the day. Significant exertion, sort of thing, and you'll be able to sleep much better. According to the media, you will not only sleep better but feel better and happier, live longer, and be able to fly if you flap your arms hard enough.
A marginally less healthy option would be sleeping pills.
Finally, a really bad idea would be to adopt a 36-12-12-12 sleep pattern - say awake for 36 (wake up at 7 AM or whatever, and go to bed 7 PM the following day), sleep for twelve hours, be awake for twelve, and sleep for twelve. At the end of the 36 you'll be tired enough to sleep at night, and during the 12 hour waking period you'll still be screwed up from staying awake so long and should be able to sleep that night. It's a bad idea, but it worked for me. :p ]
