I'm on my peroid, and it's suddenly (within the last two days) become very, very painful to pee.
It's fine until I have to stop peeing, at which it feels like everything is pinched down there. I thought it might just be something because I'm using regular flow tampons right now, instead of just light, however when I try to pee even without a tampon it's still painful.
I know I don't have an STD--I'm a total virgin, and I don't have any other symptoms of any other common infections, such as a yeast or bacterial infection.
Does anyone know why I could suddenly be having so much pain? I'd appericate it.

They are caused by vaginal thrusting (sex or even the use of a tampon) and being not-so-clean down there. You need to drink cranberry juice because that clears it up. In my opinion, cranberry juice is really nasty but it's really only used for the extra source of Vitamin C. Not even Orange juice has as much but if you buy Vitamin C pills and take those it works just as good. If it doesn't go away in a week (which it should) You need to go see a gyno or your regular doctor. Good luck. [ xXxpinky615xXx's advice column | Ask xXxpinky615xXx A Question ]

You will have to go to the doctor to get medicine for it. It won't go away on it's own.
You will have to see your doctor.:) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
Karen answered Wednesday April 6 2005, 2:04 pm: If it hurts to urinate or if you get a painful sensation after you urinate, then you probably have a bladder infection. Bladder infections are easy to treat and since you've been having this for more than 24 hours, you really need to go see a doctor because this can lead to more, serious problems. Every female usually gets a bladder infection in their life. Check out this link for more information: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location).
ShYbl0nD3 answered Wednesday April 6 2005, 1:39 pm: You dont need the symptoms to not have the infections. maybe its a bladder infection. You could even be alergic to the new tampon your using. See the doctor so that you can get it treated and maybe try switching tampons. [ ShYbl0nD3's advice column | Ask ShYbl0nD3 A Question ]
jbdreamer answered Wednesday April 6 2005, 1:32 pm: You don't need to have all the symptoms for it to be a yeast or bacterial infection. It could also be a bladder infection. Or you may be allergic to something like a new soap, or brand of tampons. Whatever the cause, you deffienatly need to see your doctor so it can be properly treated.
