Every afternoon in school for about 2 weeks I get really bad stomach Aches. I have no idea why. If i go home and go to sleep for like even a half hour they get better. Is there like a reason for this or somthing.
BeautifulMadness answered Saturday April 2 2005, 2:16 pm: Hi,
I'm not 100% positive on this (or even 50%), but it's an idea -
I have migraines now (they started when I was 10) and as a very young child (5) I had terrible stomach aches for no apparent reason. I had tests done at the doctors and all sorts but no-one ever found out what was wrong with me. However, some scientist dude figured out a couple of years ago that it's a posibility that people can get this stomach aches as kind of 'pre-migraines' - i.e. you get these a few years before the migraines actually come out properly.
So, while it is very unlikely and it does only happen on rare occasion, that could be what is wrong. The thing that made me think of this is that you said when you sleep it goes away - migraines are linked to sleep in a big way for a lot of people, often caused by too much or too little sleep. So if you get migraines in 10 or so years, you'll know whar's up :P Unfortunately there isn't any real cure for these stomach aches, if they are what you have...there might be now but I had to just wait them out. As you're a lot older than I was at the time though, more painkillers etc are available to you, so whatever it is you can take a couple of aspirins in your pocket or bag with you to school (take dissolvable ones if you can't swallow tablets) and take them when these stomach ages start.
It could also be something like appendicitis or something as simple as PMS. Don't panic, but if I was you I would go and see my doctor because they could diagnose it better than anyone on here and give you treatment for whatever it is.
Good luck!
Blessed Be,

You need to start getting to bed really really early. Then when you get home, finish your homework and go to bed, you will feel much much better! Michele answered Saturday April 2 2005, 12:32 pm: Well you are not giving enough information to make an informed answer. But I just read something in a magazine that said. parents whose kids suffer from stomache aches of no known cause, who go from doctor to doctor to find a reason, and can't find one......should look for emotional reasons. So are you having some social problems at school. Or are you having some problems at home. When I was our age. I hated to go home. (There were a lot of problems going on that that I was much to young to deal with, but I didn't know that then.) They were enought to give me a stomache ache that is for sure> so if you think it may be emotional then you have some more questions to ask Don't you?

soccurboi48 answered Saturday April 2 2005, 12:26 pm: Well if you have been eatin lunch before you get the stomache aches it could be cause of that. But i have ulsars in my stomache and that could be another reason! You should definitely go visit a stomache doctor and see what he says!
