I'm that type of girl who never wears make-up at all. Some girls that I know look, well, scary without make-up, but I don't really look that bad, and I'm pretty critical of my looks. I was wondering, is there any make-up tips that you can give, such as how to apply eyeliner, what shades look good on my skin type. I'm pretty tan so my skin is fair. Is there anything I can apply so I don't look like a make-up junkie, but people notice I started to put on make-up? I don't want to put on too much make-up, I'm only 14.

You should pick up one of them, or both, they will help you with EVERY makeup need or question you have. Personally, I'd reccomend a light pink lipgloss with a bit of foundation, and eyeliner, but I usually don't wear it, so I honestly can't tell you how to perfect it, but I heard if you put it over a lighter for a second it make it easier to apply. Eye liner.. ok if you put your finger under your eye and pull down you see a clean line that eyeliner goes on.. put it there. Dont use liquid eyeliner.. that stuff stinks. Dark pink blush and dark purple pink eyeshadow goes good with dark skin. I also have dark skin. I know how you feel! any more make up troubles write back!
Teza answered Thursday March 31 2005, 8:45 pm: I could help you here. I love make up but anyways. Eyeliner is easy to apply. Put it on the bottom of the eye lid on the think skin .. I dont really know how to explain. The color I would choose for your skintone would probablly be brown. Eyeshadow- Tan colors really natrual and light. You porbablly wont need foundation or powder so just get some blush and put it on your cheek bones. Get a nice light glossy lipgloss. x0 [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]

SouthernGirl323 answered Thursday March 31 2005, 7:32 pm: all i can say...is go natural. don't wear bright, obtrusive eyeshadow colors. stick to natural tones (ie browns, tans) and try a dark brown mascara instead of black and dont use eyeliner. the main purpose of makeup is to draw attension to your natural beauty without covering it, so dont use gobby foundation. if u must, go with a light, neutral powder. it will even out your skin tone and cover any scars and some blemishes. as long as its neutral or matches your skin perfectly, you will look great. I suggest that you look at the last one first, it tells you how to apply DIFFERENT make-up. Like eye make-up, lip make-up, etc. If you don't have bad skin, it's best NOT to wear foundation or powder. It only makes your skin worse. If you have a pimple every now and then, just dab some liquid concealer on it. Make sure that when you apply eye liner, don't put too much on or else you'll make yourself look gothic. People are probably going to notice that you wear make-up, but as long as you wear it suttle, then it will look great! Good-luck. Keep me posted!
