I'm a girl and I'm 14. I'm attracted to the female body, but in an artistic way. I want to tell my friends, and show them some of my artwork, but I'm afraid they'll think I'm a perverted homosexual or something like that. Anyone have any advice on what to do or say?

Just show them it, its artwork and things like that look beautiful and if they call u homosexual or perverted tell them to mature and to learn to appreciate art. =)

If you are uncomfortable with telling them, then just don't tell them. It's completly normal for someone to be attracted to something, you can't really help it. I hope that helps! ♥ Emma

It's completely normal. COMPLETELY. If you feel uncomfortable, don't show them, but art is art and art is meant to be free and passionate, so there's nothing wrong unless you are completely shy. It sounds to me like your really proud of your work, which must mean it's pretty good. Try showing it to one of your friends and seewhat this friend thinks. if she acts like your perverted because of this drawing then this friend is inmature. I mean this friend is about 14 anyway she should be able to handle it, and if it makes this friend uncomfortable then thats ok. Also if this one friend likes it you could try showing it to your other friends.Good Luck.

First of all, homosexuals aren't perverted. So even if your friends DID think you were gay, that's not necessarily a horrible thing.
You can calmly explain that you're not gay. Tell them what you said in this question - that you are artistically drawn to the female body. There's nothing wrong with that.
If you treat your drawings as normal, which they are, then your friends might just go along with it. If you are obviously uncomfortable or weirded out by the idea of showing them your drawings, they will pick up on those feelings and even MORE weirdness will ensure.
Bottom line, don't show them until you are ready. It's your art and you shouldn't have to make excuses to anyone.

You should just show them. If they are your friends they will understnad that it is just art. If they dont then they arent very good friends.

Just show them your artwork if your so inclined and don't worry so much about what they might think. If they have questions answer them.
You are a female and have every right to think the female body is a thing of beauty.You might say it in a similar way...using the word attracted might give the wrong impression.

Just tell them the truth and if they think that that means they are very dumb because art is art! like my social studies teacher told me cuz i used to say ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!! and he got mad and he told us that!! i guess they are dumb ass if they dont understand art i think i used to me like that!!

Well im a artist to so don't worrie i draw boys sometimes and they don't don;t make fun of me its alright to show things and even if they do laugh that really means there not your ture friends

do what you feel is right..i mean if your friends cant appreciate your artwork than what are they really..if my friends didnt appreciate what i do than are they realy my friends.....and hopefully if they are true friends than they will be fine with it all and dont ever be ashamed of what you do!!!

It would be pretty immature of them to think that you're a perverted homosexual or something of that sort just because you are attracted to a womans body in an <b>artistic</b> way. A womans body is something that many many artists like to paint because lets face it, women are beautiful! A woman's body has the kind of curves that artists like to depict. A friend of mine (female) is an artist and the majority of her paintings are of nude woman. She too is completely facinated with the female body. You don't have to tell them anything if you don't want. Put it to them plain and simple- A woman's body is beautiful and you would understand that easier if you were an artist. Honestly, they can ask any artist in their school if they like to paint a woman's body just because of it's beauty. It's nothing to be ashamed of!

Tell them that the female body is the most interesting artwork to do for an artist and that the female body is the most beautiful body in an artist's eyes, because it is the most unique and seductive of all bodies.
