well whenever this kid i like, matt, stands near me or walks by i always feel like i have to be talking to one of my friends. what does this mean?

Hey! This means that you have a huge crush on him! And its ok do be nervous about liking a guy but one thing i learned is that guys are like dogs...they can sense when a girl is scared. So don't let it be to ovbious. And when you have enough courage to talk to him let him know that you like him and just be compleatly open with him and maybe he will start to like u back!

i think i kinda know what you mean...
you want to be around your friends when you crush is around because you feel safe around your friends and you can talk to them just about anything while you get nervous around your crush and think you will say something stupid in front of him. Its like your friends will be there to comfort you while you are talking to your crush.
it means that you like this guy are are afraid to talk to him alone. So you try to be around your friends when you talk to him.

i do the same thing..you could be nervous and not want to talk to him, so you want to be busy talking to another friend.. or you might want him to see how funny or nice you are when you talk to your friends

Well it usually means that since you like him you don't want him to see you alone. Because we always think "if im by myself it will look like im a loser" Also you might be trying to avoid direct eye contact because if your always staring then he'll get the hint. Umm thats all I can say really but i hop it helps.
