he isnt gay

Question Posted Thursday March 24 2005, 3:29 pm

hey i asked earlier about possible duets for dating couples for the talent show..well today everyone was like saying my boyfriend is gay because hes a good singer, and they were like, guys dont sing. only a couple people said it though. and today we went and watched the seventh grade talent show and i sat next to him and all the little seventh graders were saying it to.. well some of them. it's getting really annoying, what should i do? i mean, im not gonna break up with him because i love him but i just wanna make them stop.

That's what happens too often today. People judge others and call them gay by the way they sing, dress, or wear their hair. The same with the guy I like. If they say it around you, imagine what he goes through. Just let him know that you don't believe them and you love him too much to dump him for what others think. They will always talk, but you just got to laugh because most likely the ones that say stuff.. have no one and are jelous that you've found love and they haven't

HOPE IT WORKS OUT!

i hate to say it but all you can really do is ignore them or tell them to shut up.

if it helps, i think it makes a guy more attractive if he can sing =).

Wow, that's stupid. It's also extremely immature, and I'd point that out to them. Some of my best friends are guys who sing, and NONE of them are gay. I take offense to that statement. I'm not a guy, but I do sing. Gr.
Does vocal ability determine your sexuality? If guys sing and it makes them gay, if girls DON'T sing, does that make them gay? It's ridiculous. Try giving them that little spiel.
Have you told them he's not, and you'd appreciate it if they stopped? If so, and they haven't, I would, more than anything, try to ignore it. I know it'd be difficult - trust me, I've been having to ignore and disprove rumors about myself and one of my guy friends lately, and it's driving me nuts - but if you let them see that it doesn't get to you, chances are, they may stop.
They're just trying to get a reaction. Either that, or they're just really, really stupid.
I hope this helps!

♥ I would never say that! I mean, there just JEALOUS of his good voice apparently! Don't worry about it, ignore them, or tell them to stop cuz he's really not, I mean look at Jessica and Nick. Is Nick gay? NO. ♥ GOOD LUCK IN THE TALENT SHOW! I'm SURE you will both be amazing, ignore the jealousy.

Ok here goes

OMG LOL WTF STUPID 7TH GRADERS ROFLMAO

Ok, just had to get that ou tof my system. That is hilarious. God figure the 7th graders wouls say something like that...

No, a guy is not /gay/ just because he can sing. /I/ can sing, but I'm heterosexual... just ignore them. The little shits deserve it and they need to grow up from the 4th grade days where anything they don't like it gay. Tell their parents or something. That'll shut em up ;) <3 EJ

Dont worry about it. Those kids are immature. who cares what they have to say? Yeah guys do sing. Im in highschool and in choir. I have guys in my class and there is an all guy choir too. there r guy rapers and singers : nelly, tim mcgraw, etc. guys can sing. Tell them to grow up and that they r immature. Obviously they r too insecure about themselves that they have to talk about other people and/or jealous bcuz they DONT have a good voice like ur boyfriend.

There's not much you can do about this one. You're just going to have to ignore it. Probably most of the people talking are just jealous because a lot of the best singers out there are males and they're not gay. So just don't worry about it. But if it really bugs him a lot, then that's when you guys should think of something. If it's only bugging you, then don't worry about it. It's just talk. It'll blow over soon.

Tell them look, is Usher gay? He sings, Is Eminem gay, he also sung in a few of his songs. Is R Kelly, gay? Nope but hes a 12 year old rapist. They are so immature and even if you tell them about Usher and all, they probably will make up something stupid. let it go, their the ones who are gay.
