Question Posted Wednesday March 9 2005, 5:14 pm

20/f/CA.
My good friend Rose just started dating my ex-boyfriend Justin. We had been broken up for quite a while, but I am still confused about how I fell about Justin, although I think I am mostly over him. I am also seeing other people. But why is it when I see them together when I go out, that I get jealous, or more upset?

It may be because there is a part of you that doesn't want to let him go. But remember that you two are over and that there are other fish in the sea.

I think it is a perfectly natural reaction. You may still have a few small feelings still hanging around somewhere. All you can do is make the best of it i'm afraid.Maybe you will get used to it if they go out long enough. You might also tell Rose up front that since you know both of them, you don't want any details of their romance.Good luck to you.

If it were another woman dating Him, would your reaction be the same?

If NOT, then maybe you're jealous because you see Rosie and Justin being happy together, whereas your relationship with Justin fell apart. This is not your fault, but it's just one of those things that happens.

IF so, then you have more feelings for him than you're willing to admit. And if that is the case, then maybe you should talk to your friend Rosie about all these unresolved issues.

Thats the worst. It probably hurts even more to see your good friend date him. I know how it is, its happen to me. I guess the best thing to do is talk to one, probably your girlfriend and tell her maybe to be a little more causal and not flaunt themselves in public or around you because it bothers you. The jealousy will wear off once you become truly interested in someone else. Right now you need to forget him and you take your hot date and hit the town!
