[13/f] everyone at my school sees me as a shy person who always follows the rules and everything and thats not at all how i am! i got detention today and this kid saw me in the office [iv'e had detentions before, but i dont brag about it to look "cool" like all the other kids] and he was like "whoa! YOUR in DETENTION??" I feel like everyone knows me for someone i'm not and it's really starting to bug me. i'm not at all how anyone sees me, not even my own friends.. does anyone know how to like idk, show everyone "who i really am"? i know that sounds gay but i don't know how else to say it

I think you're going through a stage where you don't wanna be known as, "the good girl." Which is ok, but you shouldn't care what you're known as. Plus, I'd rather be known as the goody two shoes, than the slut in the back seat, you know. It also sounds like you wanna act all bad and show off by getting detentions. You don't need that, trust me, it takes a lot more than detentions to satisfy the idiots who thinks its "tight" and "awesome". Don't get yourself into that, just ignore them, don't let it get to you.

Although you want people to see a different side of you, you seem afraid to do it. That would be me as well. Most of my friends saw me as a goody-goody, and I hated it. I was always shy, but once I felt comfortable around my friends I was able to be myself. Maybe all you need to do is wait until you are comfortable before you can show your true side to everyone. Hope that helped.

Well i think if you act more like the person you are and show everyone the side of you, you want them to know, they would start to think of you as that person instead of the shy, goodygoody.

Dont hide yourself -- Dont hold back, speak your mind when you have something to say -- Be the real you, and do what you feel, theyll eventually see you

I know what you meant by that and it's not gay, don't worry. Last year, I was just like you; I used to be a really good student and everyone expected me as a shy girl who always got good grades and I never showed the "real me" until this year. If you want to show everyone the real you, you need to start to act as yourself and change. You can start being outgoing and talk out loud in class and such. You need to start doing things that you would never do in school but don't go too far. These people will see the real you, once you show them that you have another side to you.

Well, it looks like you are in a tough situation. I think you need to do something you're not what they think you are, do something crazy but that wont get you in detention, we all like to keep our records clean.
But personally, im a person who follows the rules, and would love to add some spice to my academic year. I was planning to get out of school without permission before the bell but I hesitated. So before you do anything, make sure you can face the consequences.

Well, I don't think you should worry about what other people think of u. And also, detention isn't anything to brag about.. so where did you go wrong there? But, try doing alot of out of school things or extra caricualer activities so people can understand the real you since there's no rules to follow. And if you really wanna let thos eppl in school know(that you dont really hang out with) just open up a little. Like if you get detention "be like ugh.. i got detention and it's so borinq!" Just so tehy're aware of your not such a goodie good. It happens to you too. Just keep with not bragginq about it becuase it'll get old fast if you do.

Good luck, x0x Jordy|♥
