Illegal guys
I've noticed that guys that like me *and vice-versa* are a lot older than me. I'm a Freshman in High School, and a lot of Seniors like me (including one guy who just graduated). I *would* go for any of those guys, but they're all over 18! Is it illegal to date a 18+ guy without having sex?

its different in some states but in my state its illegal. if your parents dont even agree with you two dating (not having sex) then they can press charges. since you are only 14/15 and he is older than 18, then in my state it is considered statuatory (sp) rape. it just depends on how your parents feel about it.

Hmm.. im not shure if it's really illegal if you dont have sex. i went out with a 17 year old when i was 13 and i guess it's pretty normal. i dont like going out with guys younger than me. Maybe you should just keep it on the down-low if you do go out with someone older

Yea it is.. you are a frosh though. guys are not relly looking for relationships with you... i men things like tht are different.. maybe if ure a sophmore and hes a senior or something its more relative.. but frosh with sneior and older dosent work out..just stiuck with guys around ure age for nkw u dont wnt to get a rep in Hs especialy being a freshmen.. so just wait for those oldr guys.. if they really liked you they wil understand!

Nope, it's not illegal. As long as your parents know about this and approve it, it's alright to date a guy who is 18 or older. But it is illegal to have sex with an 18 year old. Hope I helped :)

No it isnt illegal. But just make sure you family approves and make sure the guys dont try to take advantage of you. Hope my advice helps!

No its not ilegal its just illegal to have sex if your a minor with someone over 18 because thats considered Statory Rape but no you can date.

No it's not illegal to date someone that much older than you if you aren't having any sex. But c'mon.. why else would an 18+ yr old date a 14/15 yr old? To have intellectual conversations? NO, they only want one thing (maybe not at first, but it will come down to it).. so it's kind of pointless to even expect that your next relationship is going to be legal. But I always say, it's only illegal if you get caught.

dating someone 18 and up isn`t illegal. as long as sex isn`t involved. and it shouldn`t be anyway.. because abstinence is the best way to go.

Dating is NOT illegal. Especially if your parents are aware and consent to you dating. As you've already stated, having sex across certain age limits is illegal - and that limit varies from state to state, country to country.
