Problem
I don't know who I need to talk to about this. I'm just looking for someone to try and help me make sense of my situation. See, I've always dreamed of being famous. Being an actress or singer and making millions. Being as popular as Britney Spears was and all that. But, the problem is I like in a small town and inside, I know that it is so unlikely I am going to ever have the chance to be famous. I;m in local plays and musicals, but I get small roles. I don't have a good singing voice either. But, every day I dream and think about this. Does everybody want to be famous ? Or do you think i should pursue this dream, that i think about this a lot for a reason? help!

You don't have to have a good voice. Look at Hillary Duff and Ashely Simson. They have ok voices but they are nothing compared to Whitney Houston. They make it on personality and looks.

OK to answer specifically your questions... yes, a lot of people want to be famous. However. if you don't pursue it it'll never happen and since your from a small town you will have to work harder. it is a lot of work. Good luck!

Well think about this...Britney spears,christine aguilera,justin timberlake,eminem,and so many more came out of small towns and theyre famous.If you're serious go for it, but finish high school and train for a back-up career in case the acting doesnt work out.

well... i also have alwayz dreamed of being a famous person one of these dayz !i dont have a good voice either ! but .. thats ok ! i think that u should stick with this dream .. and take it to the top ! it may come true someday ! just believe in yourself .. !!!

well who doesnt want to be famous? Anyways....there are different people who come to different people looking for actors and models, dancer, etc. One for example is proscout. They are like open call auditions. Just look out for those listen for them on the radio. Search for aditions on the internet in your city. And also if you want to improve your voice, maybe take some lessons. Hope i helped!

Well I wanted to be just like Britney Spears as well..for like 2 years. lol. its a phase I went through when I was little and I now know I suck at singing so theres no chance. If you believe your voice is good enough as those other people that are stars today, go for it. Get a singing coach, and do whatever it takes to get better. Then you could send a demo tape of you singing to a bunch of record labels(Jive, Geffen, etc.)

But I help myself out. I join Drama Club and Chourus (I noy sure how to spell that} Sing all the time to myself and with friends and act out parts movies. So try to help yhouself out

OH MY GOD YOU AE LIKE MY SOUL MATE!!! the same exact thing is happening to me. I am dreaming of making it big.. Not like britney spears big cuz i dont like her much.. But big enough to get out of this town and situation... I say that you do just what I am doing.. I say that you keep doing what you;re doing.. and if this is something that you obcess over day in and day out like I do.. Then TOTALLY go for it. Keep doing what you are doing and even though it may seem like forever.. im sure that sometime something will happen and Give you an oprotunity to shine!

I think you should totally go for it! Maybe call an angency or visit their website and find out how to get into all of that! And then just do it! BeLiEvE iN yOuRsElF! :)
