Cell Phones

Question Posted Saturday February 12 2005, 7:10 pm

when someone calls you on your cell phone and it says "ID restricted" is there any way to find out who it is? cause sometimes i get prank calls. Like if you called the operator would they tell you.

Its usaully a telemarketer when that comes up. To have them to stop calling, go to www.donotcall.gov. It really works, thats what I did.

i dont think the operator would be able to tell you but call your company and they should know. or use *69, that might work..it just depends..

once you realize it's a prank call, alert the caller that prank calls are punishable by law and that you WILL press charges, even if you don't intend to do so. saying that you know the police well can't hurt. also, you can call the cable company or not answer your phone :) also...star 69 works too

If you call your local cell phone company (Verizon, Sprint, Nextel, etc.), you can find out who called you, since they "keep a log" of all the phone calls you receive or send. Hope I helped :)

After they call you dial *67 and I think it dials the last number that called your phone.

Call your telephone company and you can find out. My friend does it me all the time he'll prank call and he'll block his number when he does it and I don't even bother answering the phone since I know it's him though I don't have caller ID.

Some people just don't have any lives in this world and they decided to harass people its just plain pathetic!

Call your telephone company and tell them. They can tell you who's calling you privately.
