You have nothing to worry about, your just young and your period is still trying to maintain a proper cycle and become regulated. I`ve had mind for 2 years and i haven`t missed it once but it`s still irregular - it comes late all the time or soemtimes i`ll get it twice. Im pretty sure you dont have cancer. Are you active? Are you on the thin side? Being involved in a sport and being active a lot, or being on the thin side causes you to miss your period a lot. You shouldnt worry about it until your like twenty, then if its still weird then you should consult a doctor.

(p.s. If it`s a big concern you can ask your doctor to be put on birth control pills. Birth Control pills help you regulate your period and get it on a normal track so you know when to expect it and when to not exc. Good luck)

No! Most girls do not get their periods every month for a long time. There's no need to worry . Your period will become more regular as you get older and have had it for longer.

Sweetie, you don't have cancer or an infection. Your period is just irregular and it will stay like that for the next few years. This is definitely normal and it happens to a lot of girls. You just need to calm down, and wait until you get your period. Start marking a calendar so you will know a pattern your period has. But this will change eventually, don't worry. Hope I helped :)

When you first start, it's going to be irregular. Don't worry about it. If you're still worried, ask your doctor about it. If you need anything else, just send me something! ♥ Kristen

hailebop answered Saturday February 12 2005, 6:32 am:
As others have said, it's absolutely normal for your periods to be irregular in the first few years - it's just your body settling down to all the change. Most women take several years to settle into a really regular 28 day cycle and most find that even as adults sometimes they are erratic. You need to relax and not worry about it. It is highly likely that your periods will start to regulate themselves in due course. Talk to your mother about it. If she experienced similar when she went through puberty, that's an additional sign that what you're experiencing is normal. If you haven't had a period in six months time, I might consider mentioning it to a doctor, but at this stage there is no reason to be concerned.

When you first start your periods it is common for them to be very irregular, even as far apart as that. As you get older your periods will become much more regular, although they may never be exactly on time. If you are still worried then I suggest you go to your doctor just to check there's nothing wrong.

Okay sweetheart. Dont worry. This happens to a lot of girls so dont let yourself stress too much. Its just, you may have abnormal periods. All you have to do is go to the doctor and get yourself checked. They will know what to do with that situation. Otay.
