Addicted to drive thru

Question Posted Wednesday February 9 2005, 10:57 pm

I have this tendency to go to drive thrus on the way home from school because I don't know what to have for lunch at home. I'm trying to give it up but its harder then it seems. I need help before I end up gaining the freshman 10.

well some fast food places have ok things to eat. Like the salads at mcdonalds. if you could NOT stop eating those big macs then take the buns off..i know its strange but they have so many carbs in it so if u just eat the meat..your less likely to have the extra calories and carbs to burn..

i hope i helped

get healthy foods at the drive through, or go work out.

Try the Freshman 50. Anyway, if you insist on eating out, make yourself go inside. You can have more food at home for the same amont of calories and a lot less fat. You are wasting gas and adding more CO2 to the environment.
If you take one day and plan your meals out for the week, it is easier to resist. Start with just not going one day and add to the days you aren't going. Maybe then get it to a couple of times a month. Take the extra money you are saving and do something good for yourself or someone else that does not include food. Add up how much you spend at the drive thru in a week and figure out how much you are spending for the month. It's a pretty fat sack o cash even at $5 a day. That's $150 bucks a month and $1800 a year . You can eat at home on half of that. Cooking some food ahead of time and putting it in portions in the freezer helps a lot too. Buy yourself a crock pot and a cookbook. Good luck. I feel your pain.

just don't take money with you to school...unless you really need it for something (like lunch money) that way you won't have the cash to go through the drive through and just remember that you won't like to gain weight so stay away from the fast food.

More like the freshman 500 am i rite?

How about this, go to a supermarket.
Now here's the tricky part, pick out some food that you would make for yourself for lunch, then buy some apples or something.

Well just watch what you eat from there. I mean maybe you could stop somewhere else like a gas station they have way healthier stuff there. Or go to the grocery store and pick something up from there if there is one near by and if not do so after school pick your lunch up for the next day that night. So you have your lunch the night before-trix

Could be fat,
An idea I have is just to search your fridge before you go to school and decide on something good to eat for when you come home. Maybe you could prepare it the night before or something? That way you'll know whats waiting for you at your house and you'll be able to eat healthier if you plan it out. Youre not going to want to waste something you spent your time and effort into preparing. Hopefully this helps you! I'm always here if you need anything..
