birth control..when?
okay im starting on birth control soon..and im on itcuz of my acne..but im also happy im on it cuz when i do bcome sexually active (imma virgin) with my BF of a year and 3 months i want to me 100% safe meaning using a condom and being on birth control..and i wanted to know..how long till birth control is effective? like how long should i wait till i can trust that it will work before i feel safe enough to go off and lose my virginity..

it depends mostly on the product. but give it a while to kick in. wen u notice that ur acne problem has gone down then it should most likely b ready

It wont work until like the 2nd time like the 2nd month deal with the lil things they give you the first one is just getting it used to your body but the other one is really going to work. THey give you cirrcular things and yeah the 2nd month works trix

For safety you should be on the Pill a month before you become sexually active to give your body a chance to get used to the changes. It is sensible to wait longer though because it can take a while to get used to remembering to take your pills reliably every day at the right time. Taking them just a few hours late effects the reliability of some brands. It takes some girls a while to get used to habitually taking them, and it's best not to be using them as contraceptives until you've really got in the habbit and know you won't just forget one, because this will really reduce the reliability.

It's effective after a month. Using a condom and being on birth control it's not 100% safe, it's only 97%. Just be safe and don't buy the cheap condom brands. If you do have anymore questions, just go to your doctor. I'm sure he/she will be more then willing to tell you everything you'd like to know.

its effective after about a couple months after you take it. with a condom and birth control you still wont be 100% safe. you could still get pregnet and you could still get an STD, just be safe

Birth control is effective after a few months that you started to use it. You should probably wait at least two months, depending on how your birth control works and stuff. You should talk to your doctor about this, and they will tell you. Hope I helped :)

im pretty sure that it takes about a month before you can start to have sex.. if you have any questions just ask your doctor cuz he will tell you anything you need to know. you can also go to planned parenthood cuz they have brochures and stuff on it.

um im not sure what the answer is but i asked my mom if shed put me on b irth control cuzz of mi acne and she said that they have to do this gross vagina cancer test or something and i was like Ewww nevermind.....did they have to do that?? or is she lieing to me (not unusual) so she doesnt have to take me?? she probably thinks im gonna have sex...okay well yeah thanks
