S_C answered Sunday January 23 2005, 7:46 pm: From what I have always thought the only time your rating goes up and/or down is when you are rated from questions in the pool. People who ask you questions to your inbox can still rate you, but it won't count towards your average. [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]

Karen answered Sunday January 23 2005, 7:16 pm: If someone rates your answer for their question that they asked you personally, your rating won't go up or down and it won't get calculated. It will still appear in your feedback. Your rating is only calculated from the answers from the public questions.
