AKSherma answered Sunday January 23 2005, 1:17 pm: It can be several things depending on your history and other associated symptoms. The peeling of the skin after the cream does sound like a contact dermatitis and hopefully you stopped using the cream. The best thing to do is to see your OBGYN or another physician.
Due to HIPAA and other legislation this will be kept confidential and no one else has to know. They'll do a few tests (most likely at most a culture) and treat it accordingly.

Courckypooh answered Saturday January 22 2005, 10:45 am: Go see a doctor. It may be a yeast infection and before you buy or use any cream they will want to see it. If you do have one and creams don't work, go back to your doctor and they'll give you a sronger cream or pill to take. [ Courckypooh's advice column | Ask Courckypooh A Question ]

Wenzie answered Friday January 21 2005, 11:37 pm: It could be a yeast infection, usually the first thing to do is go out and buy a cream or pill that is available without a perscription like you said, i dont know the brand you used but aparently Canestan im not sure the spelling on that is a good one to use, another suggestion is to let your mom know and go see a pediatrition or gynocologist about it,it is normal for this to happen to so its likely that it isnt serious. MummuM answered Friday January 21 2005, 8:27 pm: You could have an infection of some kind. I don't think it's the cream that's doing anything, because it was itchy before you started using it correct? I think you should go to the doctors or talk to your mom about it. Either one of them could help you out.

hErEtoheLp answered Friday January 21 2005, 7:49 pm: Well really, the only awnser I can give you is probably a yeast infection. I don't know what the cream's suppose to do or anything like that. But you might be having an allerigic reaction to the medicine, I mean if it's peeling, I don't know if that's normal or not. If the medicine doesn't work out then go try out a new one. Also, as gross as it may sounds crabs? Might be a possibility. You don't have to have sex to get it or anything, you could simply sit on a public toilet and get crabs. But really, more than likley it's just a yeast infection and can be treated by over the counter medication. [ hErEtoheLp's advice column | Ask hErEtoheLp A Question ]
