S_C answered Monday January 17 2005, 1:50 pm: Try to take better notes or make them more readable. I don't know how I passed history last year because my teacher was tough, but he was really cool and he gave us some study techniques. I'd try to help you with them but I can't really write it, I'd have to show you. But you could use flash cards for vocab. Or what I did we did in history last year and in math this year was make songs. Like 8th grade history for learning some of the lakes... Hiwassi little tennsesse french broad broad... we put that to a tune. And like for math, we put the formula y=mx+b into a song... it goes with the ymca... Y = MX plus b it's fun to go to the Y=MX+B... something like that. But really, just try different ways to study. Or some of my teachers offer extra credit, maybe you can try that. Talk to your teacher(s) about it and see what you can do. We have so many ec oppertunities, like in math we get a progress report every other week and if you get it signed you get 5pts ec. It's sooo easy, and some teachers let you turn things in one day late and only take of a few points for it, so take that extra day. But 1st check with the teachers to see if there are any extra credit oppertunities you can do. If not then just try different ways to study. Good luck and sorry I'm not of much help. Karen answered Monday January 17 2005, 12:49 pm: Try staying after school with a teacher that teaches the subject you are failing. Try different studying techniques instead of reading your notes over and over again. Take better notes and listen in class. Try sitting in front of your class instead of in the middle and back. There are other things you can do but those are just some of them that I thought of. Hope I helped :)

But, if you really wanna try and do well, make flashcards, like the Warg said, High School is all memorization, just quiz yourself before the test...
Nicotine Patches also help you remember, slap one on while you study, then again before the test, sounds funny, but it works. [ S1lv3rBlad3's advice column | Ask S1lv3rBlad3 A Question ]

I stay after school a LOT..i ask tons of questions..spend extra time on my homework..i brought a review book..i (try) and study my book..and im considering a tutor. Those are some simple things you can do that might help.
