Question Posted Thursday January 13 2005, 11:06 pm
There is this girl Amanda at my school. She is one of my really good friends. But sometimes I think otherwise. When girls usually go to school they try and get all "dolled up" for the guy they want to impress. I get all "dolled up" so Amanda wont tell me that I don't look good or that my hair looks bad. Is she a real friend or not? What should I do?
Thank you;
Jessica

You're the one who chooses what to wear, not her. Just talk to her and tell her about how you feel about criticism. Hope I Helped :)

DrummeR4LifE answered Friday January 14 2005, 12:57 am: well if she treats u like a good friend yea... but... if she doesnt take u for who you are (including : not getting dolled up and just acting like urself) then i would say that she isn't a good friend.
Hope every thing works out with you and amanda!

Beccers_boo answered Friday January 14 2005, 12:16 am: well if you dont look good then maybe she is just trying to help but you shoudlnt feel obligated to doll up in the morning... try not doing it one day and see her reation then you can tell if she is a true friend. If she is your real friend she'll see you for how you are on the inside and not how you look on the outside. If she makes another crack be forceful and tell her that is hurting your feelings and that you don't like it when she says things like that. You will find out if she is your real friend if you don't have to look your best just for her everyday. [ JadedinNowhere's advice column | Ask JadedinNowhere A Question ]
