Crunches are just ab exercises. You sit on the floor with your hands behind your head. It's like a sit-up, but don't life your back, just your upper shoulders and head.
Hope I helped!

crunches are curl ups...you do them by laying on the floor on your back put your leg in an upside down V shape then put your hands behind your ears and bring your upper half of your body to your knees

Crunches are jsut like sit ups except you put your hands behind your head. You just lay down on the floor and lift yourself up just a little bit and then you go back down. Hope I helped :)

Crunches are sit-ups in still motion- to do them, get in sit-up position and raise your upper-body off the ground as you would do in a sit-up. Hold this for 30 seconds or longer if you want- the lower to the floor you hold your back, (without putting it on the floor!) the better it is for you. You can also do side crunches, which is the same except you face sideways. All crunches are great to lower your stomach region.Hope I helped,
Zoinatrobe.

Crunches are almost like sit-ups lay on the floor bend your legs cross your arms over your chest and go up about half way. These are great if you want to work out your stomach muscles, have a flat stomach. Dont do them everyday though becuase you tear your muscles by working out and they need a day to contract making them stronger so do them every other day.

Crunches are like sit ups only not all the way. Liek you just crunch your stomach a little. SO do liek a half sit up. If you know what i mean. Mayeb you can look at images on www.google.com and then see a pciture of someone doing them and you'll get a better idea. They are a GreaT way to get in shape and tone your stomach and they're easier then sit -ups.

zapreth answered Thursday January 13 2005, 10:06 am:
See the previous answer for how, except that you should never put your hands behind your neck. It makes doing them easier, but it can seriously damage you spine. It is called a crunch because when you do it, you are using your stomach muscles to lift you from the floor. This contraction of the muscles makes your belly look like a crunched beer can.
