period

Question Posted Monday January 10 2005, 7:17 pm

Ok well I have been getting discharge for a pretty long time (maybe over a year or a year and a half) and I started getting underarm hair around last May. Is this ok? Any ideas when I'll get my period? I want to be prepared for when I do so I can have my feminine needs :) Thank you!

well hun, let me tell you...at first i really wanted my period cause most of my friends had it..but it isnt something you should look foward too...it is a pain in the butt...and if guys find out it can get embaressing...i say it should come within the next month to 6 months..
warning signs are super bad discharge, stomach aches and "twinges" of pain in the overies area..below your belly button..also mood swings and wanting to be my yourself..and not wanting to talk to anyone not even your BFF..i had discharge for a year to maybe a year and a half before i got mine..so expect it soon and always have materials with you..i recomend tampons...i suggest "TAMPAX TEENS" they are super small so they are good and safe for first times and comfortable..dont let people tell you not to use tampons...pads are the worse..and if you dont have to use them..(you dont not with tampax teen..i used them on my first time..) then dont use them! i hope i helped...and i hope when you first get it..that everything goes alrgiht...best of luck sweetie!

Yah. It's totally normal. But, even though you've been getting dicharge and your turning into a young lady. You might only get your period a year later. Everyone's periods aren't the same and they come in different years of their lifes. But, I'd bring a tampon or pad and keep it in my book bag or around the house, just incase you might start!

Just keep pads and/or tampons around and whenever you notice blood put one in. The first time you get it, it will only be a little bit of blood. Don't worry. ♥

I would carry a pad in your backpack just in case you get in unexpectantly. Shave the underarm hair. This is TOTALLY normal. Please rate! Hope I helped!
