hey im working on equations of perpindicular lines. i dont no what to do because i dont know what tehe reciprocal of 2.5 is? what is it? thanks

Hey, I just learned this a few months ago. The reciprocal for of 2.5 is 2 1/5 which is 5/2. You just have to flip the fraction. Hope I helped :)

First make it an irregular fraction or mixed or whatever you call it. And then find the reciprocal of that. 2 1/2 would be 5/2 so the reciprocal would be 2/5. So the perpindicular would be -2/5! ♥

the reciprocal of 2.5 is this: -2/5. i got this by making 2.5 into an irregular fraction: 5/2, and then, as the reciprocal of a positive is negative, i switched the numerator with the denominator and made it negative. hope i helped, later,
