They're all lying.

Question Posted Tuesday January 4 2005, 8:40 pm

Everytime someone compliments me I think they just want something from me and they are scheming against me. Everytime I get supposedly good news I think its a bunch of bull and that its not true. I'm not a pescimist, I think realistically but I feel like nothing good can happen in my life and I'm always alone. Is there something wrong with me?

You should not be so harsh on your self and you should not be so emo-gay. You need to take in the coimpliments because they rarely come any person's way. Why do you put down good things. I think that you need to see a therapist and not be so negative.

Hey try to be more opened minded like ok well maybe they did like my hair today. and stuff like that. Talk to your friends and ask them do u only complement me when you want somthing from me? and tell them to be honest. <3 American Girl

Well the bad news is you are a pessimist, no offence intended. Now, of course there isnt anything wrong with you as such, the only down side is that you might alienate some people that would be good to you. Essentially you risk having a worse life than you should be having. The good news is that once you face this pessimistic fact, no pun intended, you can change. Being realistic means that you take a sceptic, open minded approach to things, not that you assume the worst. Seriously, what if you find yourself looking back at the ripe old age of 85 years old, having pushed people aside and having avoided nice experiences, only to realise that people actually liked you. Now wouldnt that just suck?

I think there is nothing wrong with you. It sounds like you have just had some bad experiences, and don't really trust others yet. Try to look on the bright side. If someone says something mean, just think about something you have that they don't, or how you are better at something. Even thinking about how she doesn't have the same awesome friends as you will work. It sounds corny, but it really works. I missed out on a lot when i was thinkink about how mad i was at people for lying to me. just forget about them. lyl ~~chloe
