Question Posted Tuesday January 4 2005, 6:02 pm

okay, there is this kid named Tom, Tom is annoying beyond belief but hes my neighbor and our parents are real tight. moving on.. he was flirtin n touchin (he was like touchin her back n lookin at her thong) this girl named Sara. well Sara got extremely annoyed and asked her boyfriend to beat up Tom. whenever i stick up for tom, he jus blows it off nd whenever i tell him to stop being annoying, he denys it. ive tried calmy talking to him but HE DOESNT GET IT. so here is my question: do i stick up for Tom and have him totally ignore it, or do i let him get beaten up and learn his leason.

Well, if he is your friend, i think you should, cause that what friends do. However, he is going and touching a person where she does not want to be touch! If someone was touching me alike that i would want someone stick up for me. i think you should try to talk to tom again and if he keeps doing it, next time make if stop in another way.

Tom does need to learn his lesson -- there's no good reason for treating a girl like that. Think about it. If he's doing that to your friend, he could start doing stuff to you that you don't want him to. (And, hey, is he? It kind of sounded like it...) You really should tell someone, like an adult, because they can handle this a lot better than a beating could.

It's nice that you've been sticking up for this kid, but sometimes they have to learn for themselfs. Keep being a friend and being there for him, but if he's not listening to what you have to say - let him learn his lesson himself. Sometimes people have to learn the hard way.

well of course it can be good to help but maybe it is just immaturity and it will pass but if you must intervein you have to get alot of people to go up to him and tell him he needs to be less annoying and he will get the message

Why don't you just take your nose out of other peoples' drama? You have almost NOTHING to do with it. Why don't you spend your now free time working on your spelling and grammar?

Sweetie, let him learn his lesson. You've tried telling him that he's annoying and he always denies it. For once, you have to stop sticking up for him so he will then know that being annoying and touching other girls will get his ass kicked! Hope I helped :)
