Well... its up to you whether which school you want to go to. However, your parents should leave you to make the decision instead of they are deciding for you. In my opinion, you should go where you personally want to go: public school. I mean, either way no matter what school you choose, you're gonna have to turn down one. It's mentally and physically possible anyway to be at both schools at the same time you know. I know its gonna be hard to turn down your'mom's suggestion, but tell her thats what you really want and explain to her why you made your decision. I'm sure she'll agree once you guys settle down and talk. Good Luck!

You should do what is best for you, and if yoou believe that public school will be best, then just talk to your mom and tell her how you feel about it and she'll want what's best for you and support your decision.-Hope I helped!
