I promise made me lose a friend

Question Posted Sunday December 26 2004, 1:26 am

I'm a girl, I have 2 good guy friends. I have a promise with one of them that i can't tell anyone.. well the other day me and the other guy friend got into a fight b/c i wouldn't tell him the promise i had. he said true friends have honesty. i figure that promises are deeper than honesty towards another friend. if i tell the secret, i lose the friend i have the promise with. if i don't tell, i lose the other friend. how can i just keep both guys my friends?

try to make the friend that you don' thave the promise with feel guilty. like if he had to keep a secret and you wanted to kno would he tell you? and its great you can keep a secret for someone you care about. well good luck!

I would tell him that your definately a good friend because your keeping a promise your not supposed to tell. Tell this other guy that if he ever had a secret and wanted you to promise to never tell anyone, that you wouldnt..and that he would also keep a secret of yours. Tell him its not about him (if it is..dont say that lol) and you hope he understands that friends keep secrets.
I think if he thinks about it for awhile, he'll understand

well since your one friend and you got in a fight b/c you didn't tell him the secret, tell him friendship is def worth way more than a stupid secret (hopefully its not about him) he should def understand that. x0

Well tell that friend to be put in your other friends spot and you dont want to break trust with anybody and that he needs to understand. You dont want to lose either friend. They both mean alot to you as i can tell by the way you are asking me. I mean just tell him you want the to keep the secret and keep him to. You dont want to risk loosing a friend. Merry christmas! I hope everything works out! ((rate please)) trix
