It will hurt like hell, but it will help it go away much faster. However, this is only for canker sores. Cold sores are a form of herpes and need medication. Scribble answered Tuesday December 14 2004, 3:58 pm: Make a mouth wash from water and salt. Dissolve LOADS of salt into a cup of hot water- so much that it goes really cloudy. Then swill it round your mouth (but don't swallow!). Keep swilling it in your mouth for at least a minute even if it starts to sting like heck. Then spit it out. Do this a couple of times a day and it makes mouth ulcers clear up so much faster. [ Scribble's advice column | Ask Scribble A Question ]

It will taste HORRIBLE. But believe me, it works! :) [ aNgeLxfOrEvEr's advice column | Ask aNgeLxfOrEvEr A Question ]
