swimming backstroke

hey, my name is zach, 15 yrs and i'm a swimmer in southern california. THIS IS ONLY FOR PEOPLE WHO KNOW STUFF ABOUT COMPETITIVE SWIMMING. does anyone have any suggestions to gain some speed and drop some seconds off of my backstroke??? i can to 100meters in 1:23. tell me how to get faster.

well wear a swim cap even though ur a guy it will make u go faster also shave ur legs n arm hair n also practice practice practice i practice 5 days a week for 2 hrs a day and i juss recently dropped 3 sec. on my 100 free and 100 fly. also list weights so u'll get stronger it works! hope i helped and good luck in ur next meet!

Hey Zach attack..Umm!! You should go to a community center thingy and ask if there is a coach you can do privates with so they can watch you swim and give you tips. Or just pretend at the end of your swimming thing, a girl will be waiting for you so you could do her ...haha maybe that will speed up your time..and practico makes perfecto..good luck!!

I am not a backstroke swimming, but I swim butterfly. I went to alot of stretching classes and circuit training classes and my muscles got stronger and I went a little faster, but I wasnt as tired after I was done with a race.

im a swimmer n one of the best ways to improve a score is to just pratice more. like 3 or 4 times a week would b rlly great n thats how ull c the most improvement
