guitar Hi,
i have just bought my daughter a guitar for her 8th birthday. I never had a chance as a kid so dont want my kids to miss out,. the only problem is that i dont know anything with regards to tuition on guitar so wondered if any1 knows best course of action for my daughter to learn.
If anyone has any advice that would be great

look in the phonebook under guitar or music and try to find a good music school that shell have fun at. not one to serious, then she'll just hate it.but one thta teaches you the basics, then lets you bring in music YOU want to learn. i suggest private lessons. they should cost about 14-15$
hope i helped!
p.s. dont force her to do it, tell her if she doesnt want to do it anymore after a while to tell you, you dont want to waste your money, her time and yours, and make herunhappy. ]
simple answer this time! get her lessons for christmas!
hope i helped!

Hey,
I just bought my father a guitar last month and I will say that looking for classes was easy but, finding a good price was hard...The rule as a teacher told me is never pay more than 30 an hour which is like 15 a half hour lesson... ]
you should find a person to give her lessons or get a "how to play guitar" video. that will always help. ]
as a teen trying to learn electic, i can honestly say... don't get her a book or a video. It is too hard for me and I already play other instruments. Lessons at a local place are the best. They usually cost between 40 and 65 dollars a month. good luck with that! :) ]
Get her into lessons, and get her a book. If it's an acustic guitar, i advise the hal lenard guitar method book 1. It's a great book to learn from, it's what i use and i'm doing great. Get her a good guitar teacher in a popular music store. if it's sum store downtown that is so small no one notices it, i doubt that there will be any good teachers. The prices might be cheap but i dont know about the teachers. Hope i helped! And it was a great move to get her into guitar! ]
ummm lets see. well im 11 and im learning to play eletric guitar. So i think u should put her in a class becuase where i go i see 8 year olds going there to play the clarinet and stuff. I hoped i answered you question ]
you could either get her lessons (i'm not sure how/where you could get them), but if you two have a busy schedule, you could even get an instructional video (that's how i'm learning) so she could work on it whenever she has a spare moment, and if she doesn't get something she can rewind, pause, and try it again. ]
Well...there are many things you oculd do but i will just give you one...Get her lessons...very easy and pretty cheap i have a daughter my self...Olivia is her name she is my world!( she is only 5)
